Baxters Industry training days

Two weeks ago Baxters offered industry training across three days in Melbourne and Adelaide to several guests and customers. The event was sponsored by Delco Remy and ran participants through system diagnostics and fault finding to address the most common causes of starter motor failure.

The first two days saw guests from a prominent engine manufacturer, their dealer network and several of Baxters fleet and trade customers participating in presentations from Mike Stohler, Delco’s Chief technical engineer, live vehicle demonstrations and diagnostic tools presented by the Baxters technical team. The training involved a hands-on exercise with a Kenworth prime mover onsite allowing guests to put theory into practice and get hands-on experience.

Delco Remy gave a valuable presentation on their range of products including batteries, starter motors and alternators, whilst the Baxters technical team demonstrated the Delco Remy Intellicheck with much success. Light refreshments were provided and a great networking opportunities at the end of the session. The Melbourne days we’re very successful and all guests came away with a box of Baxters goodies, and a wealth of knowledge.

The Baxters team then ventured over to Adelaide on the last day of the training to diagnose a trucking transport customer that was experiencing starter failure issues with all of their trucks. The team demonstrated the Intellicheck on two trucks and were able to identify problems in both and address them. Several other major Baxters auto electrical customers were also invited along to join and witness the testing capabilities of the Intellicheck.

Keep an eye out for any future industry training days with Baxters in your area.
